Found in a Ukrainian restaurant in Poland. Followed to Georgia. Brought to London.
I discovered Georgian wine by accident. I was sitting in a Ukrainian restaurant in Kraków when I noticed a list of Georgian wines I didn't recognise at all. I ordered a glass of Akhasheni — dark, velvety, and completely unfamiliar. It was unlike anything I'd had before.
That was the starting point.
From there, it led to Georgia itself. To Kakheti. To cellars with clay vessels buried in the ground — unchanged for eight thousand years. Standing in a marani, it becomes very clear: this isn't marketing. The evidence is in the ground.
"Georgia has the world's oldest wine tradition. London is about to find out."
Qvevri, Darling! exists to make Georgian wine more accessible. To bring it into London in a way that feels natural, enjoyable, and truly understood. No pretension. No jargon. Just good wine, well explained.
Come and see why it matters.
